Director Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures teased fans last
December, when they released an over two-minute announcement clip
that gave fans a first look into the upcoming Transformers 3 film,
Dark of the Moon.
It got moviegoers excited, but now the second
trailer gives everyone an even better sense of where the movies
headed. The first teaser showed that the astronauts initial landing
on the moon in 1969 was just a cover-up for the US to investigate a
weird crash landing on the Moon, when Neil Armstrong and his fellow
astronauts encountered alien robots buried beneath the Moons
surface.
Now, in the new trailer, is shows that Decepticon
Shockwave is the main villian, and as everything unfolds, Chicago
becomes the battleground where the alien robots go from human
annilation. In one part of the clip, a beam of light shoots into
space, which seems to awaken a new batch of Decepticons previously
buried on the moon, ready to wage war on planet Earth. From there,
its all action, showing Chi-Town being ravaged by a slew of
Decepticons.
But, will the Autobots help this time. In one scene,
Optimus Prime says From here, the fight will be your own, hinting
at a war that the good robots cannot help the humans
fight.
Transformers - Dark of the Moon, which includes newcomers
Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley and John Malkovich, opens in 3D on
July 1
